[FC] ::This Is Anfield 2009-2010::
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Famous Quotes
Quote:
"We are the real people's club." Sammy Lee
"I hate talking about football. I just do it, you know?" Robbie Fowler
"Anyone who doesn't learn from Ian Rush needs shooting." Robbie Fowler
"I used to hate Ian Rush when I was young, because I was a devout Evertonian in those days, and he seemed to score every time Liverpool played against us. It's strange to think he used to support Everton too when he was a kid. He was brilliant to me at Anfield always giving me good advice." Robbie Fowler
"Ever since I started at Liverpool as a kid the fans have taken to me and any player will tell you when the supporters of your club are behind you then that helps an awful lot. I just can't thank them enough. They've given me so much support over the years and I'm grateful for that." Kop hero Robbie Fowler
"Honest to God, I'm so happy it's frightening! I'm just so chuffed - that's all I can say. Obviously since I have left, deep down I have always wanted to come back and it has been a long time but I'm glad to say I'm back now." Robbie Fowler on his return to Anfield.
"I'd kick my own brother if necessary... it's what being a professional footballer is all about." Steve McMahon
"It's best being a striker. If you miss five then score the winner, you're a hero. The goalkeeper can play a blinder, then let one in… and he's a villain." Ian Rush
"If Shankly was the Anfield foreman, Paisley was the brickie, ready to build an empire with his own hands." Tommy Smith
"If Shankly had been paid overtime, he'd have been a millionaire." Tommy Docherty on Bill Shankly
"He was the greatest person I know." Ron Yeats on Bill Shankly
"I always carry a picture of him, he comes into my conversation a lot; I learned a lot from him and owe the man a great deal." Kevin Keegan on Shankly
"I was Bob's first signing. He changed my life, as he did so many others. He gave us great memories and you can't put a price on that. He made me an adopted scouser." Phil Neal
"He's better than Platini, certainly better than Rumminegge and Maradona. For me he is the greatest footballer in the world." Graeme Souness on Kenny Dalglish
"If I had to choose a league then it would be the Premier League," Aguero said. "I have been a Liverpool fan for as long as I can remember and it would be a dream to play there. I watched the Champions League final and celebrated every goal as if it was for Independiente."
"The only thing I fear is missing an open goal in front of the Kop. I would die if that were to happen. When they start singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' my eyes start to water. There have been times when I've actually been crying while I've been playing". Kevin Keegan
"This was a special atmosphere only Anfield can produce. This was St Etienne part two and the fans cheered every tackle and it's one of the greatest nights in this football club's history." Phil Thompson after Liverpool's 2-0 victory over Roma in the Champions League 2002
"How could I leave after a night like that? It was the greatest night of my life." Steven Gerrard after winning the Champions League in Istanbul.
"It was reported that we'd have 20,000 fans out here but there was much more than that. They are unbelievable and I dedicate this victory to them. We were a different team in the second half but by extra time we were running on empty and I'll admit were playing for penalties at the end." Steven Gerrard after winning the Champions League in Istanbul.
"They have done the city proud, they performed brilliantly and I always knew they were going to win. I was proudly wearing my scarf in No 10." Prime Ministers wife and Liverpool fan Cherie Blair after seeing the Reds win the Champions League.
"Carra came up to me after extra time and said 'Remember Grobbelaar and the rubbery legs of 84 - and do the same. Dance, do anything, put them off'!" Istanbul hero Jerzy Dudek after his penalty saving heroics.
"My brother phoned me the morning after the game and asked me had I seen the match again? I said no and he said you need to see it because your save from Schevchenko was the hand of the God. I told him I didn't know how I did it." Jerzy Dudek.
"It is one of the greatest finals of all time and the save Jerzy Dudek made from Shevchenko at the end was unbelievable. I can't believe we've won. He'll be a legend now, not just for the penalties but because of the Shevchenko saves in the game itself. They were unbelievable." Jamie Carragher on Istanbul hero Jerzy Dudek.
"I went so mad that I must have had a bit of a blackout. I just crashed to the floor somewhere and I can't remember a single thing that was going on around me for a few moments. What I do remember as I was lying on the floor was starting to cramp up again!" Jamie Carragher recalls how he felt after Dudek saved the decisive penalty from Schevchenko in Istanbul.
"Managers have to be like actors at times and Rafa Benitez deserves an Oscar for his half-time performance in the dressing room during the Champions League Final. His half-time performance when all was lost in Istanbul was the most astonishing of the whole amazing night." Sir Bobby Robson saluting Rafael Benitez after Liverpool's victory in Istanbul.
"What Rafa has done this season surpasses, without any doubt, what any other manager has done. Jose Mourinho has won the league for Chelsea in his first season and made a real impact in England. But it doesn't come even close to winning the European Cup in your first season. Now Rafa can go and tell any press conference he likes, as Jose did, that he's the true champion. Mourinho can't say that any more. So is Rafa the special one too? Well, he is to Liverpool fans." Jamie Carragher.
"This is the best moment in my professional career. I am a European champion, and I cannot believe it." Xabi Alonso on the feeling of becoming a Champions League winner.
"I didn't sleep with the European Cup but it was in my room! It was just special and I just had to have the cup with me, lifting the cup as Liverpool captain was just the best moment of my life." Steven Gerrard on who he spent the night with after the Istanbul final.
"We were sitting in the dressing room and we could clearly hear thousands of fans singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Can you imagine how that felt? We were 3-0 down in the Champions League final and all we could hear were 45,000 people letting us know they still believed in us. We knew they had endured a long journey and made so many sacrifices to be there. It was at that point we started to believe too." Luis Garcia on what inspired the amazing comeback in Istanbul.
"When you have the best player in the world in your side then you know that anything is possible. I was just praying for somebody to do something special and Stevie came up trumps again. When the ball hit the net I felt like running over to him to give him a big kiss but then I decided against it! Gerrard is the best for me. He is still young, he's got everything in his game and he can do whatever he wants in football. It was just brilliant to win the final. The odds were against us at one stage but there's a great belief in this team now and we never believe we are beaten." John Arne Riise hails FA Cup hero Steven Gerrard.
"We've got a great team spirit - It doesn't matter how many goals we go down, we'll keep fighting till the end." Steven Gerrard.
"I'd put Steven in the top five or six players in the world. In my opinion, I would say he was probably the best. I don't think anyone else could play for Liverpool and do more than he does." Jamie Carragher on Steven Gerrard
"When I was a teenager I saw the Kop on TV and, for me, they are the best supporters in the world.” Gonzalo Rodriguez
"Who's bigger than Liverpool?" Jamie Carragher when asked by Sky Sports if he'd thought of moving to a bigger club
"I wanted to show everybody that I'm still a good footballer, that I still have something to say. I think I have succeeded with that goal and that penalty. It wasn't a nice view at half time, but we wanted to get a goal for our fans as we didn't want them to be sad. I'm spellbound by it all, this is maybe the greatest moment in my career." Istanbul hero Vladimir Smicer.
"It's the atmosphere I love. It's unbelievable. I've played in a lot of stadiums but for me there is nothing like playing at Liverpool. It must be amazing if you are a Liverpool player." Thierry Henry.
Anfield is the warmest place, even the Sun shines love here.

A SPECIAL CARVING FOR LFC
A Liverpool fan with a unique talent has carved up a special treat for his beloved football club.
Ron Sharp, who lives in Colchester has an eye for wood carvings and he has made a special with the emblem that Gerry Marsden took to the Kop, 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.
Ron has been a Liverpool fan for over 65 years and hopes that the LFC wood carvings will cherish memories to pass onto younger generations of Reds fans all over the world.
His wood carvings are done in oak, from the same tree, which is around 125 years old
His Merseyside roots extend back to the day when he used to work at Cammell Lairds after serving in the army.

LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB : SEJARAH DAN KEJAYAAN
Nama Klub : Liverpool Football Club
Nama Pendiri : JOHN HOULDING
Julukan : The Reds
Terbentuk : 15 Maret 1892
Stadion : Anfield, Liverpool, England
Kapasitas : 45,362
Pemilik Klub : Tom Hicks dan George Gillett
Pelatih : Rafael Benitez
"SEJARAH BERDIRINYA LIVERPOOL FC"
Code:
bertabrakan dg pemain leeds dia mengalami patah tulang selangka tp dgn semangat luar biasa
gelar liga premiere setelah musim sebelumnya kita berhasil merebut gelar premiere league

Reclaim The Kop
Quote:
RTK Kop Charter
1st January 2007
Today is a milestone for the world-famous city of Liverpool. 800 years ago, the city was granted its charter and the unique, historic, cosmopolitan melting-pot of Liverpool was born. Its dialect and its people are Scouse - a stew made of many ingredients - and its symbol is the iconic Liver Bird. One team in the city of Liverpool carries its name. One team carries the city of Liverpool’s symbol. One team spreads the city’s name far and wide. Ask anyone, anywhere in the world if they know of Liverpool and they’ll tell you yes - that’s where The Beatles are from. And Liverpool F.C.
Part of LFC’s folklore is its famous Spion Kop. And in reminding ourselves of the city’s history and traditions on the first day of its 800th Birthday, it’s worth reminding ourselves, the latest custodians of the famous Kop, of some its own principles.
First is that we are only custodians. The Kop is a spirit, an attitude, the heart and soul of Liverpool F.C. No-one owns it, but together we are a legion, a force like no other.
2. There is no other. The Kop is a one-off. It’s the cradle of terrace culture, humour, songs - the original 12th Man. The Kop innovates. It has never followed. As Liverpudlians, we should never follow the rest of country’s trends and fancies. Whether that takes the form of lower-league grade chanting, overhead seal-clapping or the wearing of yokel-style head gear, The Kop deserves better.
3. “Liverpool F.C exists as a source of pride for its supporters. It has no other purpose.” If that is the club’s pledge to us, here’s ours to the team. “The Kop exists as a bastion of support. We will get behind the team through thick and thin. We will, always, give them strength.”
4. It’s the law of nature that fans have favourites. Let’s leave the negative stuff in the pubs and schools and wherever else there’s a debate to be had. Once we set foot inside Anfield, we are Redmen and we have one purpose; to help the team win.
5. Let’s get inside the ground earlier. This is all about playing our part in making Anfield special, and providing the backdrop and the inspiration for the team to walk tall. It’s also about letting the other team know where they are. When they come out to warm up, we want our heroes’ hearts pumping - and want the opposition shrivelling. Everyone loves a pre-match pint, but let’s get The Kop rocking, too.
6. On 15th April 1989, many thousands of us set off to support our team in the semi final of the F.A Cup. 96 of us never came home again. We will always honour the memory of those who died at Hillsborough. In our respect for them and their families, and in our disdain for the unprincipled and unregulated hacks who scared up a shameful pack of lies out of a desperate human tragedy, we will never purchase or read The Sun newspaper, and we deplore the reading of it by any Liverpool supporter.
7. It is our custom and our privilege to welcome supporters from far and wide. We expect all Kopites of all ages, wherever they sit inside the ground, to show similar respect to the city of the team they support. It’s not endearing when visitors don curly-perm wigs and tell locals to “calm down”. It’s not clever to laugh along with away fans who sing tiresome nursery rhymes about car crime. Support Liverpool F.C, and you support Liverpool, too.
8. We always applaud the other team’s goalie - it's the Liverpool way.
9. “Liverpool F.C. Supporters All Over The World.” We don’t tolerate racism. Everyone knows LFC, all around the globe. From Nairobi to Ngoya, we have fans, people who love us because we do things The Liverpool Way. We have style, we have honour, we have principles. We are a global force with a local pulse - truly, a club of the people.
10. Our own icon, the symbol that makes The Kop a legend all over the world, is our anthem: You’ll Never Walk Alone. If there is one thing that sets us apart as fans, it’s this pre-match ritual, this war cry, our hymn of triumph, and occasional pain. We’re custodians of the anthem, and we have to maintain it and pass it on to the next generation, in pristine condition. We can never dilute the song, its message and its impact with half-measures and bursts of applause half way through. Let’s respect the anthem and do it proud, sing it slowly and with heartfelt emotion, right to the end, scarves held high.
Amen.

The Kop Pledge
Quote:
Always support the team, no matter how bad they are playing.
If the team is doing badly, cheer even louder as they need your support more.
If a player is struggling, sing his name louder and more often as he needs it.
If the opposition are the better side and perform well, appreciate it and give them the credit they are due.

The Liverpool Way
Quote:
It is our aim to impart unto our students the valedictory spirit of Istanbul, 2005: the spirit of perseverance, the spirit of never say die, the value of hard work and sacrifice, the capacity to overcome our difficulties and above all the ethos of fair play and dignified behaviour on the field; a philosophy that we call ‘The Liverpool Way’.

The Sun, sebuah tabloid di Inggris yang berskala nasional turut menambah panas suasana dengan memuat berita setelah kejadian tersebut dengan headline berjudul “THE TRUTH” dengan 3 sub headlinenya yang berjudul 'Some fans picked pockets of victims'; 'Some fans urinated on the brave cops'; 'Some fans beat up PC giving kiss of life'.
The story accompanying these headlines claimed that 'drunken Liverpool fans viciously attacked rescue workers as they tried to revive victims' and 'police officers, firemen and ambulance crew were punched, kicked and urinated upon'. A quote, attributed to an unnamed policeman, claimed that a dead girl had been abused and that Liverpool fans 'were openly urinating on us and the bodies of the dead'.
20 tahun berlalu sejak bencana di Hillsborough, melalui Hillsborough Family Support Group (HFSG) supporter Liverpool terus menuntut keadilan atas meninggalnya 96 anggota keluarga, saudara, teman mereka. Selama hampir dua dekade tanpa kenal lelah HFSG terus meng-kampanyekan Hillsborough : JusticeFor96.

WHY SHANKS WAS THE REAL PEOPLE'S MANAGER
On the 24th anniversary of the late great Bill Shankly's death, Liverpoolfc.tv pays tribute to the greatest manager football has ever known by recalling a few of the moments that made the man from Glenbuck so special.
No Reds manager has been loved more than Shanks and it was not just because of his remarkable managerial achievements at Anfield.
Off the pitch he was one of us, the ultimate people's man and here a just a few of the many reasons why...
***
When arriving at the stadium in Bruges to co-commentate on the second leg of the 1976 UEFA Cup Final he meets some fans who have hitched a lift from Liverpool to Belgium and without hesitation takes out his wallet and gives them £60.
***
A retired docker is dismayed to discover that his usual season-ticket seat, which he'd sat in for years had been moved without explanation. He goes down to Anfield to find out why but to no avail. He then spots Shankly coming out of the ground, explains the situation to him and then waits as the boss goes back inside and promptly gets the ticket office staff to rectify the problem.
***
Regularly inviting fans into his home on Bellefield Avenue for a cup of tea and a chat after they had plucked up the courage to knock and ask for an autograph.
***
His response to the meagre allocation of tickets for the 1965 FA Cup Final: "What can you do with 15,000 Cup Final tickets in a place like Liverpool? They'd eat them for tea and not notice. Any tickets I have are going to the boys on the Kop."
***
Scolding a police officer in front of the Kop for standing on a Liverpool scarf as the players embarked on a victorious lap of honour after clinching the 1972/73 League title. "That's somebody's life son," he told him in no uncertain terms.
***
Saving three young Liverpudlians from being thrown off a train by an inspector after they'd bunked into first class on a journey home from watching the Reds in London. On overhearing the conversation he offered to pay their fares and then dropped them off home in a taxi after returning to Lime Street.
***
It's a hot summer's day in West Derby and a group of local kids are out on the field playing football. Suddenly, Shankly arrives on the scene and proceeds to engage in an hour long kick-about with the star-struck youngsters. Apparently this was a common occurence on the playing field that was later renamed in his honour.
***
Standing on the Kop alongside his adoring fans shortly after his retirement as Liverpool manager. This is where he felt he belonged.
Bill Shankly: You will never walk alone

Bob Paisley

Quotes:
* "If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later."
* "Mind you, I've been here during the bad times too - one year we came second."
* "Bill was so strong it was unbelievable. You couldn't shake him off the ball. It didn't matter where he was playing, though I suppose his best position was outside-left. He could go round you, or past you, or even straight through you sometimes!" Bob Paisley on Billy Liddell.
* "You may have found me mean and thirsty in my search for trophies, but the bad news is the man who is taking my place is hungrier than me. Fagan's the name and I don't think he'll need any help from the Artful Dodger!" Bob Paisley on Joe Fagan.
* "I just hoped that after the trials and tribulations of my early years in management, someone up high would smile on me and guide my hand. My plea was answered when we got Kenny Dalglish. What a player, what a great professional!" Bob Paisley.
* "I owe Bob more than I owe anybody else in the game. There will never be another like him." Kenny Dalglish on Bob Paisley.

Rafa Benitez
Quote:
Quotes:
* "This is without doubt my biggest night in football. At half-time we needed to do something and decided to make some changes. The early goal helped and with the backing of our wonderful supporters we went on from there. There is no way we could have went back out and lost by four or five goals in front of them. Once we started thinking and believing we could do it, anything was possible. In extra-time I was very proud of my players." Rafael Benitez after the epic Champions League victory.
* "As a manager you are important sometimes and you make mistakes, but the most important people are your staff and your players. Never call me the special one!" Rafael Benitez.
* "When you see the supporters and how the club works it is like a religion to them. We will try to do our best to bring more trophies back for them." Rafael Benitez.
* “Jose Mourinhio and I got on well until my team started beating his.”
* "I'm in a hurry and I must go to the hospital to see how Robben is, he could be in hospital for a week!" Rafa on Robben theatrically faking injury got Reina sent off.
